Zahra Khanom was a Persian princess who was considered so beautiful that 13 suitors took their lives after her rejection. Is this true? Maybe. What IS true is that she was a trailblazer for women's rights in Iran and a feminist. She was a founding member of the Iran's underground women's rights group Anjoman Horriyyat Nsevan (which means The Society of Women’s Freedom) around 1910.
